Baby's first beef

This recipe is for 6 months +
Babies get lack of iron at this time so it's important to feed them poultry. (chicken or beef)

If your baby can chew or digest well, you can make ingredients little bit more chunky.

Need :

10g of beef tenderloin
1/2 pear
1T  rice

How :

1. Put the beef in the cold water to drain out blood. (about 30 min)

2. Boil the meat. (save the broth for later use)

3. Cut out fat and tendon from the beef then cut into small pieces.

4. Grind it with 5~6 T of beef broth.
Yuck ! This looks nasty.  =P

5. Make rice cereal using beef broth.

6. Grate the pear.
*Pear reduces bad meat smell.

7. Put meat, rice cereal and pear into the pot and heat it.

You can add other veggies to beef rice cereal,
such as broccoli, onion, carrot, or spinich.

Baby food storage idea II

After all the cubes are freezed,
I move it to Multi Lock container from lock&lock.
You can also use zip lock bags.

This container is  for freezer and perfect fit for your fridge door.

Lable the date for freshness.
I discard it all after one week.

Pear & apple

Pear and apple are one of the beginner's fruit.
You should introduce all the beginner's veggie and feed fruits at last.
Baby may refuse vegetable if you feed sweet fruits too early.

How:

1. Peel and cut pear or apple.

2. Grate the pear or apple.
If you want finer texture grind it with bit of water.

3. Lightly boil it.

4. Cool and freeze it for later use.

You can mix with rice cereal or feed by itself for snack.

Baby food storage idea

It's best to make your baby's food everyday.
But some moms don't have enough time to prepare meals each time.
So I freeze my baby's food in an ice cube.

This is rice cereal , I am pouring into ice cube tray.

This is broccoli cube already freezed.

Each time I prepare meal for my son,
I take out 3 rice cube and 1 veggie cube and microwave it.
You can adjust the amount as you like.

A: What kind of ice cube should I use?

Q: You should use ice cube with lids.
It prevents contamination & caughting odor from the other foods.

I use Lock&Lock ice cube , about $15
